I've been fostering and working in animal rescue since the 80's. I owned and operated a dog walking business, have a BS in zoology, was an intern at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago and am an avid student of dog and cat behavior following such trainers as Ian Dunbar, Jean Donaldson, Patricia McConnel, Sue Sternbern and others.
I have also been a professional photographer since 2000 and branched out into video in 2012.
My primary focus is on early socialization in puppies and kittens during their Socialization Period. It would seem that a small amount of handling and socializing in the beginning results in a lifetime of benefits for the animals and their owners. The ultimate goal is to help teach people who raise puppies and kittens how to build animals that function well in the human world and to prevent the types of behavior problems that often land animals in shelters.
