Hi! The Center for Shelter Dogs at Tufts University is conducting a survey about how sheltering organizations (of all kinds!) assess the behavior of dogs in their care. Whether your organization uses a formal evaluation or not, we would like to know what your organization uses, if anything has changed recently, and your perceptions and opinions. We are looking for a wide-spread distribution across the country from organizations of all types so could really use your help with sharing this survey!
One thing to note - only one person per organization please so if you haven't taken the survey yet, check around at your organization to see if someone else has already (it's been running since early this year). If not, please take it - and share it! You can paste the text below into an email, retweet our message from our Twitter account (@Ctr4ShelterDogs) or share the pinned post on our Facebook page.Thank you!!

Hello!
The Center for Shelter Dogs at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is conducting a survey to better understand how the behavior of dogs in shelters and rescues (and municipal facilities and agencies) are assessed. Your organization should work with dogs but it does not have to use a formal behavior evaluation; in fact, we want to include a range of experiences and opinions to understand the full scope of how canine behavior in the shelter is assessed, in any way, as well as what is working well and what is not.
To be eligible to participate, you should be 18 years old or older and knowledgeable about your organization’s policies and practices for admitting and evaluating dogs. It is important that only one person per organization respond so if you are not the right person to answer these questions, please share this link with the most qualified person in your organization.
It will take just 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire. All responses are anonymous, neither you nor your organization can be identified. Results will be presented in a summarized manner only. Click the link below to get started:

We would appreciate it if you also shared this invitation with your sheltering and welfare networks so we reach as wide an audience as we can.
Thank you in advance for your help!
