In case anyone is looking for home learning activities to share with young people over the summer to help them practice self-care, and foster compassion for animals and the environment, HEART has been developing a free library of home learning activities, https://teachheart.org/education-resources-home-schooling-coronavirus/. In what ways are you continuing your humane education efforts this summer?

We're partnering with a vet clinic to include humane education activities in swag bags being sent home for participants in a s/n event. Hopefully, kids & parents will ask for more!

We will have the Maddie's Tail Wag books and an assortment of single pages with word searches, certificates/pledges to provide proper care for pets & animal facts with those detailed coloring pages that are popular now. Also including cat & dog body language pages and a flyer for the Dog Decoder app (intended for parents). This will be a small group, but in one of our target areas where the county-sponsored public outreach events have been cancelled.
