More than 13 million people and their animals are in critical danger due to the California wildfires blazing throughout the state. With three of the six wildfires being considered a major threat, the Camp Fire has become the most destructive fire in state history.

Help us support those who have been affected by the catastrophic fires.

If you or your organization are able to accept animals that are being evacuated, aid in transport or provide other emergency services, please join our California Wildfires Assistance Group here on Maddie’s Pet Forum: https://maddiespetforum.org/group/california-wildfire-assistance/

The group will be used to share information and coordinate relief efforts for those who need assistance in California due to the wildfires. Pet caregivers who live in or around the affected areas and may also use this group as a resource to find and be reunited with missing pets.

We encourage you to share the group on your social media channels to help us spread the word and reach those who need support the most.

“Allison Cardona, a deputy director for Los Angeles County Animal Care & Control, said about 700 animals - including 550 horses, nine cows and at least one tortoise - are now in her agency’s care. But she estimated that at least 10,000 more pets have been displaced from the Woolsey and Hill Fires, both near the Ventura-Los Angeles County line, and the Camp Fire in rural Butte County, about 500 miles to the north.” - via NBCnews.com
