    Shelter Communication Tools
    From: Southern Pines

    Hi,
My shelter is on the hunt for some new walkie talkies - or devices similar if there is something else out there.
We have been using some that just aren't holding up with the hustle of our shelter workers. If anyone uses walkies or something else to communicate with staff around the shelter property, please let me know what brand you all are using and why you chose it.
I am having a hard time hunting for something because I really want to make sure what we get will hold up for the shelter environment.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kaitlyn

    Amber & Kaitlyn,

There are a couple of suggestions in this thread that may help. Good luck!

    Amber,

We actually do not use walkies, we use Whats App. We have different group chats for each area and then an all-employee group chat. It works great and nothing to purchase.

    Kind Regards,

    Christine

    Hi Kaitlyn!

We use the RCA Prodigi RDR2500's which work really well. They are heavy duty, and not easy to break. I hope that helps!
