With the Maddie's Fund, "We Foster" Challenge coming up, I wanted to share some ways Home To Home™ can help enhance your foster program. We have a new Home To Home™ fostering module, providing a method for shelters and rescues to increase their foster program success and facilitate community peer-to-peer fostering for pets in need of temporary help.
An approval process is in place, allowing your team to approve, edit, or deny a pet post before it goes live. Home To Home™ also provides users with a variety of resources, such as a detailed questionnaire and foster agreement.
Organizations using Home To Home™ have a platform for shelter or rescue fosters to post their foster pets to the shelter's Home To Home™ profile.
- Fosters can write an informative bio on the animal's personality and behavior in a home environment instead of the often stressful shelter environment. You approve the posts before they go live.
- Posts are reviewed and approved by the organization admin, allowing the opportunity to add any adoption or service details to the pet profile.
Community members using Home To Home™ can partake in Peer-To-Peer Fostering.
- Community members who seek a temporary home for their pets can post their needs, informing other community members of requests for help.
- The Home To Home™ page can help keep pets in homes and out of the shelter during an emergency or disaster.
