    Preliminary research is showing that most dogs really don't travel very far from home when lost. Here is a link to a wonderful study that helps us better understand what may really happening.

    Shelters across the country are realizing the critical value of data sets around return to home. Many are taking this information to their communities in very effective ways. The average person has been helping lost dogs for quite some time without our help, it's high time we acknowledge this and encourage it.
