Please join us this Friday, October 15th for our Animal Welfare Leadership Roundup call where we will talk about the timely and critical issues related to the role of non-profit organizations in our new world of animal welfare.
We'll first meet the members of the Role of the Non-Profit HASS working group, who have been thinking and working together for more than a year to examine the greatest challenges and opportunities non-profit agencies face. They'll talk briefly about the evolution of the group and how where they started is a long way from where they ended up today. Heather Owen will then present an examination of non-profit risk and how reserves policies may be hampering our efforts to save the maximum number of lives.
She'll argue that if you're a well-funded organization, it's time to take more risks to help the animals currently being left behind, and if you're a struggling non-profit, why you should be focusing on increasing funding so you can help more pets and become financially sustainable.
While there will be a brief panel question and answer and a short presentation, we want to get your feedback and there will be plenty of time for discussion about this subject. This is relevant to all organizations, regardless of whether you are a non-profit and we hope you'll be there to weigh in and help guide the future direction of the working group!
Register for the Friday calls if you haven't yet and we'll see you tomorrow!
