Lots of organizations have begun to distribute microchip scanners locally in their communities, making it easier for someone who finds a lost animal to get them scanned quickly without having to go to the shelter. Many have armed their fire stations with scanners and really cool partnerships are developing.
Our friends in Rochester, New York have given scanners to four Neighborhood Service Centers, ten recreation centers, and eleven pet stores thus far.
If anyone is doing this, can you share any of the collateral materials that were developed? Maybe window clings, flyers, lawn signs, counter displays? (great example attached) Has anyone created anything in multiple languages? Is anyone encouraging registration with Petco Love Lost at these locations or sharing information about PetFBI? Even better, is anyone equipping these locations with lost or found report capabilities?
Please share if you are, we'd love more ideas!
