Sharing @Kristen Hassen's message about our exciting agenda for tomorrow's Animal Welfare Leadership Roundup Call on 9/17:
"Tomorrow's call might just change your life. We scored philanthropy experts Brian Daugherty of San Diego Humane Society and Ashlee Droscher of the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria who are going to utterly transform your thinking around fundraising and philanthropy. Usually, when I hear anything about raising money, I break out into a sweat and mild panic. Philanthropy, in my brain, is just code for something that makes me deeply uncomfortable.
Then, I heard Brian and Ashlee speak about it earlier this week and what they said completely changed my thinking and in an hour, got me over some deep fear about what it means to have to ask for help. What's cool about tomorrow is they will focus on what leadership in every organization should be doing right now to create a true culture of philanthropy and how every person on your team can be part of it.
Whether you are a municipal shelter, rescue group, private humane society, veterinarian, or national leader, I promise you'll learn something you didn't know.
This is so important we're giving it most of the hour and if you can, tune in via video so you can see some of their amazing slides. If you need a pick-me-up and a reason to hope, regardless of whether you have ANY involvement in philanthropy, you won't want to miss this hour! BONUS - at the end of the session, we'll take you to the HASS philanthropy toolkit and tell you about a new group that's forming to provide support for the fundraisers in your organization!"
