    Hello all-

Out of curiosity how many of you are using Leslie McDevitt's Controlled Unleashed and more specifically Pattern Games in your shelters? What games are you using and for what behaviors? Are you seeing improvement?

We use mostly an exercise that an agility person taught me many years ago but it's like the up/down game kind of..for focus, for helping a dog relax.
I also use the 1,2, 3 pattern for moving a dog through the shelter at times.
I use a game I call the magic chair game which I believe Leslie has something comparable too which is a pattern game for shy dogs!
    Sorry for the delay...

Is excellent!! All great games. 1-2-3 is for transitions, up/down and ping pong helps with focus and to quickly lower arousal (it also helps the human with their treat delivery timing). The magic chair game is a great plan as well. What about LATTE and Superbowls? There was a recent CU conference and one speaker spoke about using CU in the shelter. She talked about dogs and cats. It was pretty interesting!

I used them once with a reactive dog - SBowls.  Would like to do more..just time overall but hope to build more CU into our volunteer program in 2022/2023.
