Let's talk DOG-AGGRESSIVE DOGS!
Unfortunately, our breed-specific rescue group has seen an increase in dog-aggressive foster dogs. These dogs aren't necessarily "bad" ~ the ones in our program still love humans, just not dogs. We have one volunteer trainer, but it's obvious that some of the dogs are simply not going to change their ways.
The challenge is trying to find these dogs forever homes. Heck, that's if we can get them into foster homes first.
Are there any secrets to finding them families that A) hopefully, have experience in the breed and B) don't have other dogs in their homes?
Have you seen any rescue groups promote these types of dogs differently (e.g., like a group may do with a senior dog push/campaign)?
It's very rare for us to adopt out of Texas, but at this point, we'd love to get these dogs moved out if there are quality families who fit this mold.
