  • 1.  alternate term for "lonely hearts" - catchy phrase for animals who have been in rescue for a while?

    Posted 06-04-2022 04:14 AM
Hi - we want to create a campaign to focus on our dogs and cats who have been with us for months (or years).  There is another local group who has snagged the term "lonely hearts" already.

Has anyone else used another phrase for this?  Please share!  Thanks!

    Hi, Kristin!

    My personal favorite is "unicorns"!

This organization uses the term to promote foster caregiving for these pets as well, which is so important for pets with extensive LOS.

My local shelter uses "hidden gem".  It has a positive connotation that I really like.
