It's the time of year again where every organization is working through their budgets for the next years. Our community outreach program is finally fully staffed and finding itself with additional budget for the following year, giving us the chance to explore some of the "man it would be nice if" ideas.
Providing community outreach supports animals in their homes and helps keep pets out of the shelter, even if it is just for a little bit. Some of the most common reasons for surrendering are financial struggles, access to veterinary care, and behavioral reasons. We have some programs that currently serve those issues, but would like to expand and do even more for the community so they don't even have the thought of surrendering cross their mind.
