We are in the process of re-evaluating our insurance carriers for our non-profit organization. We are a facility where 90% of our work is veterinary clinic related and 10% is shelter/rescue. I was wondering if anyone had or has an insurance company they use and like that offers good workman's comp, D&O, Liability, Volunteer, and any other insurance policies that I might have missed. I know rates are crazy for everyone, and likely only to go up, but any suggestions or advice would be helpful. We are a little bit different, I think, because instead of being a rescue/shelter with a vet clinic attached, we are more of a vet clinic with a small rescue attached. It just seems to put us in a different area when insurance companies look at us. Most pressing would be workman's comp at this point really. I do carry my own personal liability insurance so that is not as much of a concern at the immediate moment. We are located in Mid-Atlantic/Northeast US area if that helps.
