Pet Support as a Crisis Point of Entry: The Role of Pet Assistance in Social Care

Thursday, January 26, 2023
12pm– 1pm, Central time

For many individuals and families, pets are lifelong companions. However, when a person begins to search for crisis resources like temporary shelter, domestic violence resources, or substance abuse treatment, continuing to care for a pet might seem impossible.

American Pets Alive! is on a mission to strengthen the partnership between animal and human services to more holistically serve individuals and families. Through strategic partnerships with social care programs, American Pets Alive! works with animal services to help pet caretakers focus on getting the help they need. At our upcoming webinar, you'll learn why addressing the role of pets in moments of crisis is vital for whole person social care support.
