With Animal Shelters & Rescues calling for people to foster animals amid the coronavirus pandemic, we wanted to let everyone know about the Foster Parent Recruiting Tool that is part of the FREE mobile app called Opening Cages which was developed to help shelters & rescues with their foster programs.
Shelters & rescues can promote the tool on their social media platforms to help find foster parents faster. People then download the free Opening Cages app, then watch the "Interested In Fostering" videos which answer a lot of someone's objections as to why they haven't considered fostering before. All this can be done without the need for the shelter or rescue to have to talk directly to the public to explain what fostering is all about which saves them valuable time & keeps them safe.
This free tool can also be used for existing foster parents to help keep them fostering longer as the tool gives the foster parent confidence and helps them manage their animals easier.
The Opening Cages app and all of our other services are no charge to shelters & rescues. We are happy to have this tool to offer to animal organizations to help recruit as many new foster parents as they can right now and keep existing ones longer as we move into these next few months of uncertainty.
