Bonnie, a 2 year old adopted terrier mix, seems to be getting more spots. Now we think that her coat, other than the rough coat on her back, is thinning and we can now see more spots not that she's getting more spots. My husband, the worry wart, wants to go to the vet for an explanation. We were just there and she said sometimes dogs do get more spots, but we didn't specifically discuss the thinning coat. I sort of feel foolish bothering the vet with this and think this is all "normal" and when the weather turns colder here I think her coat will thicken up. Any thoughts? She is smooth coat on her sides & legs and rough coat on her head and down her spine.
