  • 1.  Seeking Funding for Hoarder Project

    Posted 04-30-2019 11:49 AM

Hello!  I work with the TNR Program at my local no-kill humane society.  I recently encountered a hoarding situation and am seeking funding for intake fees and care.  The silver lining of this situation of 37+ cats in this home is that the vast majority of them are extremely friendly and, on the surface, healthy looking!  Any advice on where I can seek help/ guidance on resources is much appreciated!  Thank you, Chris Banks

PetSmart Charities has an emergency relief grant that you can apply for if you are a partner.

Petsmart Charities Emergency Relief grant specifically states that it is NOT for hoarding situations.  You might try the ASPCA but when we faced a hoarding situation, the ASPCA didn't give us a dime.  I, too, would love to know about available grants for hoarding situations.  It creates real challenges for no kill shelters that want to help.
