  • 1.  Type of drains in shelter construction

It was recommended to me by our Architect to use single drains in dog kennels, but on researching this topic, I found that many respected organizations state, that while people are passionate about which type of drain, individual or trench, there is no statistical data on lack of cross contamination with either design.  Anyone?  do you have a particular type of drain you highly recommend?

I've had trench drains installed in two different new building projects and had no issues with cross contamination. Would not do anything differently. However, not all trench drains are created equal! They differ in design and function. A covered trench drain with clear water flushing system virtually eliminates cross contamination. Would not be able to say the same for standard, open trench without flushing system.
