    How can I find the best veterinarian for my dog? I recently moved to New York and don't know any around. Actually, he recently underwent surgery and I wanted to check if everything is ok.

    That's sad to hear. Hope he gets well soon. Since you've recently moved to New York, you can either ask people living nearby, people who have pets and then ask them who they show their pets to. An even faster and efficient way is to find vets online. There are some portals that can help with that - GreatVet, Veterinarians, on GreatVet you can find a vet nearby as well - by entering your zip code, boosting your shortlisting process.

    If the surgery was complex, in addition to the search tips provided by Sam,  consider bringing your pup to the Animal Medical Center (AMC) at 510 East 62nd Street  https://www.amcny.org/   They can be pricey, but provide excellent care, diagnostics, and resources.  They should be able to recommend a "primary care vet" if you ask.
