I volunteer with Just Giants Rescue, Inc. My question is more for rescue organizations. Just Giants does not do same day adoptions. We have a very thorough vetting process for our adopters that includes adoptee interviews, vet checks, and receiving photos of the potential adopters home. Sometimes we will interview references if we feel we need a little more information on a potential adopter. We are planning on doing adoption events with PetSmart in 2026. Is there anyone that does adoption events, but not same day adoptions like Just Giants. I would like to get information on how you organize your event to include how to respond when people learne they can't do a same day adoption.
