  • 1.  App for Board Members?

    Posted 10-11-2023 07:05 PM

Attempting to create an active, engaged board for my non-profit, after having nothing more than an inactive, "pseudo" board for many years. Does anyone have a board member app they would be willing to share? Also-what sorts of materials should be provided for new board members?

I'm pretty much starting from scratch here, so any input will be most appreciated.

    Hi,

We had amazing board members for 2 years that helped and build amazing little organization from scratch. And then it ended.  In addition of the board they each had other jobs like adoption Coordinator and in charge on the books, and so on.  I think they burned out, and so did I.

Now I'm trying to find new board members in a hope they'll be that good . The main issue for me is where to post for new members, how to recruit and make sure I choose the good ones.

Any ideas to help are greatly appreciated .

Our board secretary is putting together our bylaws, history, committees and contact info in a booklet for new board members.  In the past we got an email and learned as we went. :) Our shelter also started using an app called "coast". It is a good communication tool.
