I am the Executive Director of Mutts of the Midway. We are a foster-based dog rescue on the southwest side of the City of Chicago. I have been looking at areas in our organization that need upgrading and tweaking some of our current processes fresh to help save more dogs. Our current structure is an Application Manager who manages the adoption and foster applications that come in. Once received they send the applications to an application processor who calls two personal reference. The Application Manager also makes initial calls to the applicant to talk a little about our process and see what dog they are interested in. All of these positions are volunteer positions and recently we have seen an uptick in apps coming in but unable to keep up with the flow with our current process.
I am curious what other organizations do in order to keep their process streamlined and get apps processed in a timely fashion. Thank you for your help! - Ashley
