Dear Buck,
Thank you so much for your comment! This is great information. We have been around since 2016 with just a few volunteers and I just joined to try to obtain grant money to help. They do little fundraisers but it is such a small amount of money and with hundeds and hundreds of dogs and homeless puppies dying in the streets, I have to do something! I will take your expert advice! If you think of anything else, I'd be grateful.
Best of luck to you and your rescue organization!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Kathy

Kathy - We were in the same boat 18 months ago. My suggestion is to go to the Candid.com website and register for their learning center and do the on-line courses and get on their email list. Both Candid, Instrumentl offer free webinars about finding grants and key to grant writing. As a 501c(3) with a net revenue under $1M (I think) you can get access to Candid's Foundation database software which will let you search possible grant givers. To have access you must obtain the Candid's Gold seal of transparency. It's not hard but takes one of your officers to fill out key information about your org. It's well worth the effort. We got our first grant in Dec of last year. Do your homework, go to the free webinars and happy hunting.

Hello Community!
I am brand new as a volunteer and as we have no funding, I am hoping to apply for a grant. Can anyone here help me get started? We could use anything and everything to help spay/neuter, buy food, transport pups, rescue starving puppies, everything.
Thank you!
Kathy
