    Posted 04-24-2023 07:54 PM

Long story - a rural community in our county passed a Breed specific ordinance without community input.  The community was uproared, and the ordinance has been temporarily suspended.  This community, until recently, did not have animal control or a place to hold animals.

The mayor reached out to me last week and wants to talk tomorrow -  he provided me with his current ordinance and the Breed specific ordinance.  The ordinance covers everything - I am unsure why they voted on the Breed Specific ordinance.

I need talking points - I know some statistics outline why BSL is bad for the community.  Does anyone have talking points?

    Thanks

The National Canine Research Council is my absolute go-to, they have fantastic information (both high-level and detailed, depending on what you need): https://nationalcanineresearchcouncil.com/

Animal Farm Foundation also has great info and lots of cute infographics and other visual aids: https://www.animalfarmfoundation.org/

    Good luck!!
