  • 1.  Celebrating Maddie!

    Posted 04-25-2023 01:08 AM

Tomorrow, April 26, we celebrate the little dog who started a revolution. She was bold, feisty and not afraid to take chances. Although she is no longer with us, we continue to give thanks to Maddie in the form of grants, resources and striving for inclusivity in everything we do. We know she'd be extremely proud of the work you all are doing and how far we've come as a field.

Please join us in wishing her a happy birthday. We'd love to hear your favorite #ThanksToMaddie story on this thread! And, if you haven't read her story or watched her home video, it's sure to bring a smile to your face.

Critical San Diego Humane Society programs have been able to grow and thrive #ThanksToMaddie. Together, we have kept pet families together by increasing access to veterinary care, spayed/neutered and vaccinated 440 community cats, placed countless shelter animals in loving foster homes at the peak of the pandemic and raised awareness about adoption, fostering and so much more. We are so grateful for Maddie's partnership and look forward to continuing to work together to build a more resilient community.

Thank you, Maddie, from all your friends at San Diego Humane Society!
