We have both indoor & outdoor kennels. The outdoor units are covered, on concrete pads, enclosed in chain link. Our cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been in place for almost 2 decades with few changes. What are others doing?  What products are they using?  What recommendations and safeguards are suggested?

    Hi @jim wieszczyk ,

Here's a short presentation on Maddie's University that you may want to watch:

How Clean is "Clean"? Principles of Cleaning and Disinfection in Animal Shelters
Dr. Natalie Lowry, Maddie's® Intern in Shelter Medicine at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, gives a humorous and enlightening talk on effective cleaning and disinfection practices that can result in an improvement in infectious disease control and an increase in lifesaving.

Also, you may want to check out UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program's information sheet Sanitation in Animal Shelters. and/or the recently published Association of Shelter Veterinarians second edition of Guidelines for Standards of Care in Shelter Animals

Best of luck and thank you for posting on our Forum!
