Hello !  My name is Jennifer and I'm from Here Kitty Kitty Rescue in Elkhart, Indiana. We are thee only cage free facility in our area. Wondering what everyone else uses to give their cats comfort. We currently have cat trees and cubbies with blankets.

We have hard plastic toys that we can clean with trifectant when cats change. Are there windows? What about those window shelves?

We have one free-roam room that we usually put a handful of kittens in. Due to a bad calici outbreak, we're looking into adding things to that room that can be easily and effectively sanitized versus the carpeted cat towers. I'm thinking of asking our local Boy Scout group if they want to do an Eagle Project involving creating an entire "cat walk" in the room. I'm thinking shelves and rope bridges....but, in the meantime, we typically have a couple of cat towers, scratching posts, beds, cubbies, blankets and LOTS of toys! I even found this awesome cat nip spray that we will occasionally spritz on some blankets/scratching posts! They love it! Another idea that I've heard of other places using are video/sound clips of birds/insects/etc. If you have a tablet or television, some of the cats might enjoy engaging in a bird video! Or even some ambient music or nature sounds.

We provide plenty of hiding places, litterboxes, and water bowls. A Feliway diffuser is also helpful
