Thank you, @Alex Levine Clardy, for sharing your organization's efforts to embrace the neurodivergent stakeholders in your community! Your collaboration with KultureCity is a fantastic example of how each organization can take steps to heighten the link between shelter animals and community members with disabilities. I look forward to hearing more from you about the impact that program and further efforts that you are making toward greater disability inclusion in animal welfare.

Thank you to Suliana for asking if Kulture City has training and Sensory-friendly bags in Spanish.  Great news! I reached out to Kulture City, and they confirmed that their Sensory bag program is also offered in Spanish. They are very quick to respond, and this is the best email to get started: support@kulturecity.org

Yesterday's call was informative and tearful filled with excellent ideas and group responses. I will be looking in to the children artist cat project to display on our cages at adoption. Sensoral contact and a quiet place is hard when you don't have a room but we give cat toys and take them to a quieter area to process adoptions.

Thank you and I'm glad that the session was helpful and enjoyable. You echo what many organizations likely face (limited space, limited resources, etc.) but even small steps can be impactful. It's great to hear that you and your team have still taken steps despite the difficulties, and I wholeheartedly hope it continues and resources arrive to broaden the possibilities for you.

This was a great presentation. I volunteer with a Cane Corso rescue group and we have had several individuals with disabilities adopt from us over the years. We are foster home-based and don't have a facility, so several things in the presentation didn't fit with us - but I loved seeing the various programs that are being instituted in physical locations. I don't understand why any group would not want to include everyone in their prospective adopter pool.

Hi! I'm Janette Martin from Humane Society of Tipton County. We are new to having a shelter building and we are open! We are all volunteer. Watching at work didnt work for me so I may tune in from home. This subject is very interesting to me as one of my grandsons is on the spectrum.  I really appreciate all places having this kind of program for neurodivergenct folks. My grandsons LOVE their doggies. Our shelter is small. Our meet and greet room could easily fit in the program. I will look into it. Thanks to you all for what you do.
