    Hey everyone, I am thinking of a fundraiser for this summer but am unsure how to actually make money from it lol. 

    I would love to host a decades party everyone comes dressed up as their favorite decade! 

    Thinking of doing karaoke have a dj and a cash bar. 

    I think this would invite the younger crowd like myself into rescue! 

    I need help making this into a fundraiser not just a party haha!

    Sounds like fun! Some suggestions to make money:

    • Sell tickets in advance. Do this electronically so you don't have the expense of paper invitations, postage, etc.  And, you will know how many to expect.
    • Get a sponsor or 2 to cover some costs. Include them on the invitation, a welcome sign, signage at the bar, etc.  
      • You can have a sponsor to cover the venue, one for snacks, one for entertainment, etc. 
      • If there is food, then you would have a sign for them on the food table, a sign near the DJ, etc.
    • Maybe have a best-dressed contest. Entry is $10. Get a prize donated for the most creative or ??
    • If you can get a few items donated then maybe have an auction. Try to do it electronically so it saves on hassle and manpower. We use Givebutter for events and auctions and it works GREAT!
    • Make sure to have a donation box out!
