Anyone ever make their own dog treats? I just made this recipe and my dog is obsessed. Would love to learn more recipes if anyone has any.

I melt peanut butter and coconut oil together, then pour them into ice cube trays and freeze them. My dogs love them!

    Ooh those both sound great!

+ oats or oat flour + canned pumpkin! could add banana too if desired

+ oats or oat flour + shredded carrot + cinnamon + banana if desired (carrot cake)

I prefer to blend the oats to make flour. Don't have an exact recipe but probably a 3:1 dry-to-wet ratio, mixture should be cohesive enough to form into cookies or place in molds. Bake them at 350 F for probably 20 minutes, until they begin to brown. They will be soft but could freeze if you wanted something harder. Best kept in fridge or freezer as there are no preservatives.

I sold custom packages with dog names and different shapes on Etsy throughout the pandemic and all of the dogs really seemed to like them. Many orders were for recent adoptees as a welcome home gift. My husband approves of them too as he "accidentally" eats one every time I make them! :)

Here is one I often share with our volunteers if they want to made homemade treats! We also visit an adult-medical daycare every month and they enjoy making treats for the visit.
