  • 1.  Does anyone want to take over a rescue/sanctuary?

    Posted 09-29-2025 12:43 PM

We are in a desperate situation where we can no longer maintain our rescue.  (multiple buildings with fenced in areas along with our home on 4 acres) I have written and called dozens of other rescues and shelters asking for help.  Only one  took 7 of our friendliest cats, but we still have 33 that need homes.  Two rescues agreed to take small groups over time, but we can not afford the costs involved and are at a breaking point now!   The cats need to be transported to better established rescues that will be able to get them adopted, or we are personally willing to move out so someone else can move in to care for them and adopt them from here.   We are a husband and wife team in North Central Arkansas, we have no volunteers, our only helper had a stroke, I lost my job, we receive no grant money, exhausted our savings, and donations have been helpful yet only a fraction of our needs.

    Hello Gina,

I wanted to reach out and see if you have any posts for support on Facebook? I'd be happy to share any posts you have and reach out to others who might be able to help. I was also wondering if you have some kind of wishlist like on Amazon or Chewy? That could provide sustenance for the cats still in your care until other arrangements are made.

I truly wish I could help you with rehoming. You will be in my thoughts,

    Lori

Thank you Lori for this message.

We have a Chewy Wishlist. I haven't looked at it in a long  time.

We have a Facebook page and I did start a GoFundMe I think 3 years ago.

I would be very happy if people would be willing to share our posts. Thank you for offering.

I can post more photos and videos this week. I think only a few people actually see our posts based on the number of reactions we get.

I feel like we are invisible.
