What a wonderful donation! Bravo!
Many large donors don't want you to spend money on a "gift" to thank them. Naming something like a wing, or a room after them and announcing it on your social media & or newsletter is a good way to thank them. If you have an annual "donor recognition" event, getting a personalized gift donated by a local artist and thanking them publicly at the event would also be appropriate.

In addition to a card, what about creating some type of acknowledgement, a plaque or something simple like a framed acknowledgment, and displaying it in the building? We have acknowledgements in our animal rooms for special donations.

Hi! We have a donor that has contributed almost $2M to our organization mainly for community spay/neuters. Have any of you created a unique 'thank you' gift for your top donors that shows the impact they have made over the years?
