Hi Janice, sounds like a great opportunity to capture pet parents! You mentioned you have done a photo booth in the past, but it was unsuccessful. Did you only take photos of pets? I would suggest connecting with a local photographer who might be willing to donate their talents to take professional family photos. Promote prior to the event using example photos and perhaps sell advance tickets to create some urgency (limited spots available). We offered something very similar at one of our annual events and it was very successful, raising over $900 in a 3 hour window. The photographer who donated his time and post production work was a professional headshot photographer, so that is what we decided to offer, but with social media these days, people LOVE to share photos of their families and not everyone can afford a full-on private photoshoot. Just an idea to throw into your bucket!
Feel free to reach out if you'd like some more details on how we offered this at our event.

We have a big 3 day event coming up in November. It is at our local convention center: The Pittsburgh Pet Expo. I got us a sponsor to cover the costs of the booth. Now I am trying to come up with an idea that will make our booth stand out from all the others and attract people to it. In the past we have tried a Photo booth for you & your pet which did not do good. Multiple Raffle baskets did ok. The people coming there are all pet owners. There are other rescues and a lot of vendors. Any ideas would be great!
