    I am planning a foster and volunteer appreciation event this spring.  I'd like to have fun awards to present and wanted to know if any orgs already have some clever award titles that I could also use.  Examples would be for a foster who had kittens with ringworm or the most diarrhea.  Or a volunteer who logged the most miles transporting cats to and from clinics.  I certainly want to have our fosters and volunteers feel appreciated and thought some fun and clever award certificates could help boost motivation and generate some laughs.

    Hey Corissa!

    I love that you're doing this! Here are some ideas that we've used in past for Volunteer/Foster Awards:

    • Behind the Scenes Award (for a volunteer or foster who is always working behind the scenes to get things done or help at a moment's notice)
    • Cats Meow Award
    • Data Darling (for a volunteer or foster who helps with recordkeeping or always has their paperwork/vet records accurate for foster updates)
    • Director's Award
    • Faithful Companion Award (for a longtime or most service hours/years foster)
    • Medical Maven (foster who takes the medical cases)
    • New Best Friend Award (for a newer volunteer/foster within the last year that's really gone above & beyond...kinda like Rookie of the Year)
    • On the Spot Award (ringworm foster)
    • Pawtrait Perfector (volunteer/foster who takes dynamite photos of the pets for marketing)
    • Perfect Pawtner Award (as voted on by staff)
    • Small & Meowty Award (foster who takes the neonates and itty bittys)
    • Surgical Sweetie (Foster who takes the cases that have to go to a bazillion medical appts throughout town)
    • Trail Wagger Award (Foster who takes their foster pups on active field trips and documents/tags the shelter to increase visibility to the pet & the progam)

    I have never done this before (we have nearly 500 fosters on our list), but I absolutely LOVE the idea! I hope that you will post a follow-up with the names you come up with. So creative and fun!
