    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to reach out to see if anyone is using "Foster Keeper" to help manage and organize their foster program data. I would love to connect if so to get your thoughts and feedback on how it is working for you!

    Thank you,

    Taylor

I would like to learn more. Does this FK keep track of vaccine, etc?

I'm not familiar with FK, but if you want to keep track of donors, volunteers and medical stuff like vax boosters, flea/HW prevention, follow-up vet exams etc., check out RescueGroups (RescueGroups.org).   The base level is free.  There is a small charge for different services -- most likely you'll pay $30 or $75 per YEAR.  You can create user names for fosters to log in and enter when they gave the HW prevention, or your shelter's foster coordinator can do that data-entry, based on fosters' emails or texts.  You can print out the "kennel card with journal" report for adopters to take to their vets with the entire medical record.

In RG, animals can be "assigned" to a foster, so that foster can only see records for animals in their care (not the whole shelter), if they log in.  Every time you enter an item, you can set the next due date (next month, 6 months, a year out for vax, etc.).  It can be set to email out reminders of what's due -- that was a game-changer for my sanity in keeping track of vax boosters due 3 weeks later.  We are a small rescue, but it made life a lot easier.

It also doesn't restrict you to one microchip company like PetPoint does (to me it seems like PetPoint is basically just the 24PW marketing arm-- they give away the software to lock shelters into using their chips, and then charge them a lot for entering non-24PW chips).   You can import PetPoint data into Rescue Groups if you need to ditch PetPoint though.

RescueGroups is non-profit, so it's not ever going to be a big corporate thing, but it's very workable.
