We're always looking for more money to support our organization.  Can anyone recommend some grants that are easy to apply for?

    Hi Jori,

Is your organization currently using PetFinder to list your adoptable pets? Petfinder Foundations has a couple different grants types available: https://petfinderfoundation.org/our-programs/grant-types/ but you do need to use PetFinder to list your animals.

I would love to know other opportunities if anyone has any suggestions!

We have had the best luck locally.  Community Foundations and other local organizations have websites with grant options and cycles.
Walmart also has grants for local non-profits.  If you google animal, grant, and your state, some national grants only give in certain states.  We have also had some success that way.

We are always searching for additional funding.  I just yesterday applied on Petfinder.  Unfortunately our community does not have a  community foundation but Atlanta does. I've been awarded one of their grants but they do not award annually.  You have to wait two years.

We are near Atlanta, Georgia.  Any recommendations for grants?  We are a small cat rescue.

Also, try looking at Wells Fargo Philanthropic/grants, Bank of America Grant Portal,  NPO Connect. These are portal to private foundations, and many of them are area specific and/or prefer to cater to small organizations and/or start ups!

Be prepared to have your tax ID, and budgets, etc ready - they are all fill-online, but ask for a lot of details. I have some templates of our mission, projects and so forth that I can copy and paste. Good luck to everyone!
