Contributing this idea as a friend and I implemented it years ago and it was wildly successful. It was billed as a "singles party for pet owners". We called it " The Rock, Ruff, and Rollover". It was held in October in Dallas. We managed to get a hotel to donate a ballroom, had a dj, tickets ($20, I think), owner pet look a like contest, and team mummy decorating contest ( done to The Monster Mash). Everyone had a blast. And we actually made a nice profit. Could be a great Valentines Day idea as singles have nothing to do!
