I have been an ACO for almost 6 years 5 years for a city where we had our own kennel, and now in charge of a town animal control department where they only had a day time kennel contracted. Since being hired I quickly got 24 hr kennel capabilities contracted. This seems like a very expensive route to me long term. I'm looking for insight into other peoples experiences with contracted Kennels and operating their own municipal kennel as an ACO. Any insight is appreciated!
