  • 1.  Insurance for TNVR Program

    Posted 11-14-2023 05:41 PM

As we are in the planning stages of our "Sterilization and Welfare of Feral Cats in Our Neighborhoods: Happy Cats, Healthy Neighborhoods" TNVR program, a question has arisen regarding the need for insurance.

We are eager to ensure the safety and well-being of our volunteers, community members, and the feral cats involved in the program. To that end, we are reaching out to the forum to seek your insights and experiences on whether obtaining insurance is advisable for a TNVR initiative.

P.A.N.T. is a small TNR non-profit all volunteer organization, though we do foster kittens and friendly adults.  Ever since I joined P.A.N.T. we've carried both D&O and general liability insurances.

Thank you for letting me know, I wonder if you can give me some advice about what kind of insurance do I have to get? and do you have any company in mind that you can share with me?
