Every August, Animal Advocates of Greater Lafayette holds an event called "Love a Paw, Don't Declaw!" We partner with our local cat cafe, and cat rescues, and distribute free cat scratchers, nail cippers, and information about why cats need their claws! This year we also gave out cat toys, treats, food/water bowls, and some beds, all donated by the community. This is a simple, accessible event, and we pair it with a month focused on education/outreach about why cats need their claws. Some pictures and flyers are attached!
