Curious about how your humane society is ran.
Does the shelter manager/director or the board control protocols and standard operating procedures?
Does the shelter manager/director of the humane society typically have by laws of the organization or is it just the board of directors?
I feel like i'm in a tough spot to where i'm at currently. I am the shelter manager of a humane society. The board tries to control almost everything that is done here. I collectively have more experience volunteering in a shelter setting if the experience of 3-4 members combined. Thats not including my veterinary experience which the entirety of the board doesnt even come close.
