    Hey Everyone,

First time posting here. I was curious what other shelters do if they do offsite adoptions events? Do you have any GO TO spots that usually results in a good adoption event? Do you do a standard "pop up" style event or do you have a mobile trailer? Also where are you located?

Little background; I've been with GPAS for just shy of 10 years. I am the Events & Volunteer Coordinator. We have both a mobile adoption trailer as well as a cargo van to transport animals for smaller pop up style events. We've noticed a large decline in adoptions at off site events post covid so have leaned back from weekly off site adoption events and focused on producing larger in house events, like our howl-o-ween party this past weekend and our 20th birthday bash (our facility turned 20) last month. We tend to go to the larger local events/festivals (North Texas Irish Festival, Pickle Parade, Main St. Fest).

Just trying to see what I could be missing and/or potentially seeing some answers that spark new ideas.

I also wouldn't mind sharing any information I've gathered in my 10 years with those who have any questions!

    Thank you,

    #AdoptionsandAdoptionPrograms

We're in rural Okanogan County of WA State. We are sparsely populated so we have to travel to get our pets adopted.  Our rescue partners have themed-monthly adoption events which we join when able. Bigger shelters in our state have events at Petsmart. Another partner organized "Bark in the Park" where adoptable dogs are made available at baseball games.
