Our pit bull-type dogs are lingering and holding up good foster homes while the pleas to take in more dogs are increasing. Some have issues with needing to be in a single-dog home. What are other rescues doing to combat this issue?

Yes. Same here.  Actually all large adult dogs are just sitting.  Some are suggesting euthanizing the pitties that  don't get along with other dogs so more dogs can be saved instead of  holding up foster homes for dogs whose adoption options are limited and so will sit longer. I am not convinced killing dogs to save more dogs is the wisest/smartest idea but I have no argument for the rationalization b/c sadly it is true.  Would also love others ideas and also philosophy.

I empathize with being faced with euthanizing problematic behaviors such as dog-to-dog aggression or human aggression.  Knowing that there are dogs in need of care that do not have these issues makes the decision less challenging but never easier nonetheless.
