  • 1.  QR Codes? Closing Adoption Center?

    Posted 01-12-2023 11:30 AM
Hello! Our shelter is planning to close our adoption center to self-touring to help reduce the stress in the animals.

We are brain storming ways that we can advertise the animals, and one thought was QR codes - scan a code and it takes you to videos/pics of the animal. The staff brainstorming this idea is concerned about upkeep though.

Does anyone else use QR codes to advertise animals? Any thoughts or advice?

Also open to hearing how your organization advertises animals if your adoption center does not allow self-touring!

We use QR codes for our general adoption application since it is a static link. They generally work well as long as there is reception.

I would think that linking it to a camera would be similar as long as there was an identifying code for each camera and a program to manage it.

maybe Ring has something that can be repurposed.
