Thank you so much, Bettina! It looks like this may be a relatively new concept, as I can't seem to find any real resources from shelters who have done this in the past. I'd love to see what you come up with; I'll happily do the same if it's of any help to you! I've only just put together a rough outline of what all I'd like to include so I doubt I'll finish before you do, but I'll still share if you'd like :)

Hi Evie
Mine isn't ready to share yet, but I'm also working on a quick guide for fostering kittens. I looked at those resources Kim linked in February, but there is no way that our tiny pool of fosters would read one of those long manuals, especially as many don't have English as their first language. We are a small org in Europe but I think it will be of use to others. I'll try and remember to let you know when I get it done.

Thanks for the resources! I've looked through the library and, while I did find some useful info for other areas I'm looking to improve in my program, all I really saw were full-blown manuals for foster parents, which we already have. I'm looking more for a short "quick reference" guide that has the super basic information in an easy-to-access, short booklet that we can hand fosters (which would have QR codes to access our larger, more in-depth manuals). Any thoughts on something like that? Did I possibly miss something that could be helpful in the resources library?

Ooh, we love not having to reinvent the wheel. Have we got resources for you -- already shared by forum members! We have four folders in the forum's resource library with all kinds of examples that may help!
And of course, if anyone has others they'd like to share, please attach them on this thread and we'll add them to the library folders!

Hello! Does anyone have a quick reference guide booklet they hand out to fosters that they wouldn't mind sharing? We are trying to re-vamp how we onboard fosters and came up with the idea of a short little 10ish page booklet to give each new foster that has some FAQs, emergency contact info, QR codes to online resources, etc. and I'd love to not have to reinvent the wheel with creating one if someone has one they'd be willing to share! Thanks in advance!
