I was recently in a similar situation. I worked at a shelter for 12 years, a vet's office for 10, and most recently was the manager of a horse farm. Unfortunately, I burned out of hands-on shelter work and RA took away my ability to do physically difficult jobs.
It took a while to find, but I got a job doing account management for an animal shelter and rescue software company. When I was looking for a job, every day I went on indeed and searched things like "remote animal, remote veterinary, remote canine, remote equine," etc. There are some interesting jobs out there in addition to what I found, like account management for a horse blanket company, fact-checker for websites that list dog-friendly businesses, writer for a site about pet-friendly travel, etc.
I hope you find something that works for you!

Subject: Remote Work Inquiry
Hello.
I have been working as an Animal Care Associate for a nonprofit animal shelter in Oakland, California for 18 years. Fairly recently, however, I have been on and off of Disability from issues related to osteoarthritis and sciatica. I do love animal welfare /sheltering but I feel that nearly two decades have started to take their toll.
I am certified in Fear Free Handling for Animal Shelters as well as proofreading/copyediting and line editing. 6 years voluntary work for Ohlone Wildlife Rehabilitation in Newark, California. Wondering if there might be any remote job opportunities available. Please let me know. Thank you.
