Animal Welfare Professionals

I conducted 2 pilot studies evaluating whether providing animal communication to shelter/rescue animals is useful to improve their well-being and to reduce specific behavioral indicators of stress. The staff of both facilities noticed improvements and agreed that animal communication could be a very effective tool for emotional and behavioral healing in the shelter/rescue. Unfortunately, the data collection process was too cumbersome, and the data collected was not in a format that could be easily shared with other shelters/rescues and animal welfare orgs. Pilot 3 is focused on streamlining data collection, including creating  online fillable forms to allow staff/volunteers to enter data on their mobile devices. The first mock-ups of the fillable forms are still too cumbersome.
