  • 1.  Shelter Evacuation Plan- for the animals

    Posted 02-15-2024 09:02 PM

I am re-vamping our emergency procedures plan. The human evacuation portion is completed. I have looked through the forum, ASPCA, Best Friends -all the disaster prep documents. I have not found any clear paths on best practices on how to evacuate dogs and cats safely and relocate to a temp shelter. And create a temp shelter for cats and dogs in a gymnasium, empty, church, etc. This would be worst case scenario but would like to have something written up. I am in CA, the only thing we face is fires and we had one extremely close a few years ago. Thank you!

If anurgent exacuation is specific to your premise only, then i would think other area shelters would come to your aid .
